Kay

Hello everyone, my name is Kay, and I am an owner & the founder of Kay’s Dancing Waters Swim School. In the mid 70’s, my husband, two daughters and myself moved to CDA from Pullman, WA. After working for the YMCA, I guess I found my calling. The only issue was the chemicals in the pools which caused problems for my skin.

Shortly after leaving the YMCA my husband, David Finkle, built me a poolhouse of my own and we chose not to use harsh chemicals in our water. Soon after I opened word of mouth swept the area and we quickly became more popular than I could’ve dreamed! And the rest is history! Thank you to all of the parents for your love and support over the years. We have been so blessed. God Bless, Ms. Kay.

Laurel

Hi, My name is Laurel Endres. I am Miss Kay’s granddaughter as well. I spent most of my life in and around the water, whether it was at grandma’s pool or the lake. I started teaching here at Kay’s Dancing waters in Spring session 2022. I am ecstatic to have the chance to help so many wonderful kids learn to be strong and confident in the water, just as i did!

Rowan

Hi friends! My name is Rowan Endres. I am the eldest granddaughter of our founder, Miss Kay. I grew up loving the water, and the outdoors very much. I have always been interested in Psychology, Spirituality and business. I began teaching full time in Fall session 2021, and became an owner alongside miss Kay in 2022. I am highly passionate about not only teaching my students incredible life saving skills but also helping them learn to trust themselves and the water. I am passionate about carrying on my family’s legacy of high quality swim lessons in an environment that makes people feel at home and at ease along the way.

Emory

Hey guys! My name is Emory Endres, I am also one of Miss Kay’s Grandaughters! I started teaching with my Grandma when I was 13 years old. We began by taking the kids to do water safety lessons at Spirit lake during the summer Months. When I was 17 I started teaching my own classes. I worked alongside My grandma and mom teaching until I was 23, and then I went on an almost 2 year vacation to do some World-Traveling! I am excited to be back doing something I am so passionate about. I love working with children and am honored, humbled and love every day I get to pass on the love of water to them. My favorite colors are Violet & Forest Green. My favorite weekend activity is going to do something outdoorsy!
